Welcome to Distance Learning at R-CCC!

We strongly recommend that all students complete the online Moodle orientation. To access the orientation, students will log into Moodle and click on the orientation course. We are also providing parents and guests access to the orientation material (click on "Log in as a guest" on the login screen and enter guest as the password). As a reminder, R-CCC charges no student fees solely associated with distance learning courses.

    Student Evaluations of Teaching & Learning give you the opportunity to anonymously provide feedback on the quality of instruction you are receiving in your courses. The results of the evaluations will be used to improve your learning experience. Please take 5-10 minutes to provide your feedback by completing the evaluations for selected courses. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Click the link on the URL resource card below to get to your Class Evaluations (log into Moodle first, then click the link to access the evaluation).

    Moodle logins are as follows:

    • Your username is your WebAdvisor username--usually first initial + middle initial (if on record) + last name + last four digits of your student ID number as in mdmoodle1234. 

    • Your password is your 8-digit birth date as in 01012000. Do not share your account information with anyone.

    • Your full email address: WebAdvisor username @waves.roanokechowan.edu

    • The password is your 8-digit birth date. Do not share your account information with anyone. Request a Gmail Password Reset here.

    Working in Moodle

    Students and instructors who are new to working in our learning management system, Moodle, should review these videos to become familiar with the technology. Our Moodle sites use a theme (display) called Snap. The videos will give users a brief overview of the Snap theme. In addition, we provide quick start guides, detailed step-by-step instruction sheets and orientations to help our users get started in Moodle.

    Microsoft Office 365

    Students are now able to access Microsoft Office 365 (opens in a new window) using their Waves Gmail account credentials: WebAdvisor username @waves.roanokechowan.edu. Click on the green "Get Started" button and follow the steps to access the program.

    Faculty are also able to access Microsoft Office 365 (opens in a new window) using their Waves Gmail address. Click on the green "Get Started" button and follow the steps to access the program.
