Accessibility and Privacy Policies

VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) are documents that outline how tools or content meet accessibility standards, specifically the Revised 508 Standards for IT accessibility. In this glossary, you will find links and documents detailing accessibility as well as privacy policies for several tools and software integrations that we use on R-CCC's Moodle sites. The College fully supports the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to achieve and maintain their maximum learning potential. Students needing accommodations should contact Student Services at 252-862-1200 for assistance. In addition, our Moodle environment features a tool called Brickfield Accessibility+ Toolkit, which provides ADA compliant alternative formats of various course materials. Moodle's goal is to be fully accessible for all users regardless of ability. Moodle.org's accessibility page describes the current state of accessibility in Moodle as well as future plans.
