Felica Smith

         I was inspired to become a Registered Nurse by my grandmother who has now passed away. She became very ill when I was a small child and during this period of time, she didn't have a nurse or anyone to come by to check on her, so I began to help her with bathing, putting on her clothing, doing the choirs, and even helping her with cooking meals. She told me that I had a special gift because I learned fast and that I had a heart for caring for those in need of help. Later I went to college and got my GED. Soon after getting my GED, I obtained my CNA1 license and started working. Now it's been 25 maybe 30 years of taking care of people in need, and I really would like to become a Nurse. It would make me very proud to be the first in my family to achieve my goal.
