Hello, my name is Jamari. I am currently working towards the nursing program here at RCCC. My family is filled with healthcare professionals and growing up that’s all I knew. My Grandmother in particular is who motivated me to take the steps I need to become a Nurse. I love helping other people, especially when it comes to helping them feel better and seeing the physical improvements that comes with healing. I am currently a CNA so I do most of the helping and caring part already. But I want to be able to do more than what I can do now so that I can feel like I’m genuinely making a difference in what I am doing. My Grandma reminds me that being a CNA is a major factor as well because I get to be more hands on and learn the patients more. She also started out being a CNA but she took a different route than nursing.
