It is critical for instructors to implement accessibility measures throughout the planning, design, and development stages of a Moodle course. Accessibility tools benefit all learners, and it is a federal requirement that all online content is accessible to all students. NCCCS is provided access to the Brickfield Accessibility+ toolkit to tackle many common accessibility issues in online content within Moodle.

Upon completing this topic, you'll be able to:

      • List the basic capabilities of the Brickfield Accessibility+ toolkit.
      • Interpret and correct accessibility errors in your course using the Brickfield Accessbility+ toolkit's wizards and reports.
      • Implement basic tenets of accessibility when creating files external to Moodle (Particularly within Microsoft Office 365 products).
      • Direct students with accessibility issues to proper sources of assistance.
