      • Blocks

Blocks are handy tools that can be added to a course by an instructor. Blocks are located in the side navigation bar on the right-hand side of the page and is represented by an icon of blocks in a pyramid shape. Some blocks are visible only to teachers, but most are visible to students as well. Please note that students who access your course using a mobile device will not be able to see all blocks! If you use blocks in your course, make sure to repeat the information elsewhere in the course so the student can see it. Read the guide below for a more in-depth explanation and tour of a few new blocks you will find helpful in managing your classes.

      • This Moodle Blocks Guide document details what blocks are, which blocks are recommended or required for use, and how to add or remove blocks.
